We made one ashwagandha, properly — instead of a shelf of half-dosed everything.
Withanly started with a frustration most people who've walked a supplement aisle will recognize: rows of bottles, each promising calm, sleep and focus, almost none of them telling you plainly what's inside, where it came from, or why it costs what it costs. We wanted the opposite — one honest formula, one ingredient that's been used for roughly 3,000 years, sourced and bottled the way we'd want it for our own evenings.

Ashwagandha is a clinically studied herb with a long history in Ayurvedic practice for supporting a healthy stress response. We're not here to claim it's a miracle — it isn't, and anyone who tells you a capsule fixes a hard week is selling you something. What we believe is narrower and more defensible: if you're going to take ashwagandha daily, the form, the sourcing and the transparency should be ones you can actually stand behind.
So Withanly is deliberately small. One product. One ingredient that does the work, plus organic black pepper to help your body absorb it. How we choose to make it.
Every decision below is a choice we can defend in plain language. If we can't explain why we did something, we don't do it.
Organic, single-origin whole root
We use organic Withania somnifera (ashwagandha) whole root from a single origin — not a commodity blend of mystery lots. Whole root is the traditional form the herb has been used in for millennia, and single-origin sourcing means we know where it came from.
Black pepper, for absorption
Each capsule includes organic black pepper (Piper nigrum), which contains piperine — long used alongside botanicals to support absorption. It's a small, sensible addition, named plainly on the label.
No blends, no fillers
No proprietary blends, no undisclosed fillers, no synthetic flow agents padding out the capsule. What the label says is what's inside — organic ashwagandha root, organic black pepper, and the vegan capsule that holds them.
Vegan pullulan capsules
The capsule itself is pullulan — a vegan, fermentation-derived material — not gelatin. A small detail, but the kind we think a brand should get right.
GMP-certified US bottling
Withanly is bottled in the United States at a facility operating under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). US bottling and GMP oversight are the baseline we hold ourselves to before anything reaches you.
Transparency, including what we don't know yet
We'd rather under-claim than over-claim. Where independent verification is still in progress — like third-party Certificates of Analysis — we say so honestly on our science page rather than implying certainty we haven't earned.
